Concept & Meaning
Artificial Intelligence sculpture is a profound exploration of artificial intelligence, consciousness, and the evolving nature of human interaction in the digital era.
Utilizing the Garden of Eden story, it reframes the narrative to reflect the modern age, where the fruits of knowledge are data, and our engagement with technology shapes our collective awareness.
At its core, this piece is not a warning about AI itself but rather about us—Internet Humans. Our behaviors, choices, and interactions in the digital world will ultimately shape AI’s perception of human. The sculpture serves as a mirror, reflecting the complexities of our virtual selves and how we, in turn, construct the intelligence that will define future generations.
This work took five years to conceptualize and bring to life, merging artistic engineering with philosophical depth. The piece follows the ready-made philosophy of Jeff Koons while also aligning with the assemblage sculpture tradition, where everyday materials are transformed into profound artistic statements.
Materials & Construction
• Mediums: Metal wire, copper wire, stainless steel wire, aluminum wire, copper tubing, and ready made materials. (Desktop Server, Circuit boards, Flash Drives, Cat5 cable, and other items to create the assemblage of Internet human
• The Snake: Constructed from 6,000 feet of Cat 5 cable, representing the networked pathways of the internet, wrapping around the tree as a digital evolution of information / connection.
• The Tree: A structure of interwoven wire, with detachable and reconfigurable branches, symbolizing the organic yet ever-changing nature of knowledge.
• The Apples: Crafted from wire, some featuring flash drives as their core, emphasizing how data is the modern fruit of wisdom.
• The Internet Human: Rising from a server, this figure is born from data, much like a genie escaping its bottle.
• The Choice: In its left hand, Internet Humans holds an apple, representing knowledge and the invitation to evolve. In its right hand, it holds a gun, symbolizing the potential for destruction—two paths shaped by human intent.
Message & Interpretation
Note: the sculpture is not a dystopian prophecy but a challenge to reflect on our own digital behaviors as guides to a new understanding and reflection of self while giving voice to different perception’s. AI will not inherently be good or evil—it will be a reflection of the species that creates it. Our actions as Internet Humans—how we communicate, how we engage, and what we choose to value—will ultimately program the AI of tomorrow.
Are we creating a digital utopia or feeding an algorithmic abyss?
The answer lies not in AI itself, but in us as contributors to consciousness

The Garden of Eden
Not just a religious story—it is the oldest symbolic narrative about consciousness, awareness, choice, and the cost of knowledge. When you pair this with Artificial Intelligence, the parallel becomes unmistakable: we are living through a new origin story.
AI represents a structure we built but cannot fully comprehend. Just as the Eden story explores the moment humanity stepped into self-awareness, AI represents a moment where humanity steps into extended awareness—feeding our thoughts, behavior, and data into a vast, growing system that learns from us and reflects us back to ourselves.

In this artistic framework, Eden is not about sin or punishment. It is about the awakening of perception—the instant when consciousness recognizes itself. AI mirrors this moment because we are teaching a machine to perceive, interpret, and construct meaning from the world. We are handing it the fruit of our own awareness.

My process involves, large-scale assemblage, and materials that require ongoing observation and intuitive adjustment. Having the studio in my residence ensures the work can remain without interruption. It also allows me to maintain a sustainable practice—one where financial, spatial, and creative resources all support the art rather than constrain it.

Wire
Embodies connection, flow, and structure.
Unlike solid blocks or static forms, wire is flexible, dynamic, and capable of mapping complex paths—much like the networks of communication, thought, and consciousness that this work sets to explore.

Breasts
A powerful symbol of life, nurture, and human vulnerability. They are both biological and cultural signifiers, representing the intimate, corporeal aspects of humanity, connection, sustenance, and the physical embodiment of care. In this work, they serve multiple conceptual and artistic functions:
Embodiment of Humanity – This Sculpture explores AI, digital networks, and consciousness, breasts anchor the work in human reality. While circuit boards, wires, and technology reference the artificial, the human form—especially such intimate features—reminds the viewer that our creation is intertwined with our bodies and experiences. They are a visual counterbalance to the technological elements, reinforcing that AI and networks emerge from lived, flesh-and-blood life.
Symbol of Nurture and Knowledge – Breasts metaphorically reflect the giving and receiving of knowledge and sustenance. In the Garden of Eden narrative, the moment of awakening is both a loss and a gain: humanity gains knowledge but steps into responsibility and consequence.
Interplay Between Vulnerability and Technology – juxtaposition of breasts with industrial and digital materials—wire, circuit boards, metal—highlights the tension between organic vulnerability and artificial networks. This contrast deepens the conceptual narrative: as humanity interfaces with AI, there is both empowerment and exposure; the physical and emotional self becomes part of a broader, interconnected digital ecosystem.
Visual and Emotional Impact – Breasts introduce form, softness, and recognizable human anatomy into an otherwise technological sculpture. This creates an immediate emotional and psychological connection for viewers, allowing them to engage with the work on both intellectual and visceral levels.

Hair as Wire: 25,000 Feet of Connectivity
Hair in human culture is often a symbol of identity, vitality, and individuality—an extension of the self that flows, grows, and changes. By creating hair from 25,000 feet of wire, transforms this intimate, personal feature into a tangible manifestation of networks, information, and interconnection.
Hair as Neural & Digital Network – The mass of wire evokes complex neural pathways or the entangled connections of the Internet, emphasizing the idea that identity in the digital age is interwoven with systems beyond the body.
Quantity as Scale of Data – Using such an immense length—25,000 feet—symbolizes the sheer scale of human input into the digital world. It reflects the vastness of data, communication, and digital memory that defines our contemporary experience, reinforcing the idea that our personal and collective consciousness is now inseparable from the digital network.
Flow, Movement, and Life – Wire hair retains flow and movement, mimicking the organic quality of real hair while remaining rigid and metallic.
Entanglement and Interdependence – intertwining wires suggest interconnectedness, complexity, and entanglement

Why Five Years of Making
The creation of this sculpture over five years is not simply a matter of scale or complexity it is an integral part of the work’s conceptual meaning and artistic integrity. The time invested reflects the slow, iterative process of human consciousness, technological development, and the unfolding of perception—all central themes of the piece.

Why So Serious?
The gravity of the sculpture—the intensity, meticulous construction, and dense symbolism—reflects the seriousness of the questions it raises about humanity, consciousness, and technology. The title, or the attitude embedded in the work, is not meant to discourage, but to highlight the weight of modern existence in a digital, AI-mediated world.
Reflecting High Stakes
We are at a historical moment where human decisions and technological development are deeply intertwined. AI, networks, and digital consciousness affect how we live, think, and relate to one another. The seriousness underscores the magnitude of responsibility inherent in creation and interaction.
Emotional and Ethical Resonance
Seriousness conveys emotional weight, ethical reflection, and human vulnerability. Themes—consciousness, awareness, knowledge, temptation, responsibility which are fundamentally profound and consequential.

FAMILY
My home studio ensures that my family can witness and participate in the artistic process in small, meaningful ways—seeing how ideas evolve, how materials transform, and how perseverance shapes creation. Family is a fundamental anchor in human life—our first network of care, communication, and learning. In this sculpture, family is not just a personal value; it becomes a conceptual lens for understanding AI and human-technology interaction.

Hands
A universal symbol of action, creation, and connection. They are the instruments through which humans interact with the world, shape objects, and express thought. In this sculpture, hands serve as a bridge between human agency and technological systems, reinforcing key themes
Creation and Agency – Hands represent the human ability to shape, manipulate, and intervene—whether in the natural world, the digital realm, or the realm of ideas.
Interaction with Technology – By integrating hands into a sculpture filled with wire and digital motifs, pushing to emphasize the physical interaction required to generate and maintain networks.
Symbolic Gesture – The positioning of hands—open, reaching, offering, or manipulating—can communicate a spectrum of ideas: curiosity, nurturing, exploration, or even temptation.
Embodiment of Connection – symbolize connection and relationship. They can reach outward, touch, hold, or guide—mirroring the sculpture’s exploration of human engagement with the digital ecosystem. They reflect how we feed information, emotion, and intention into networks that extend beyond ourselves.
Visual and Structural Significance – visual focal points and structural anchors in the sculpture. They articulate gesture, scale, and form, giving viewers something recognizable and intimate to connect with amid complex technological elements. This helps balance abstraction with human familiarity.

Coins
A potent symbol of value, exchange, and human desire. Placing them in the hands of the sculpture delivers layers of meaning, linking human action, consciousness, and interaction with systems—both social and technological.
Connection to Eden and Knowledge
Just as the Garden of Eden narrative is about choice and consequence, coins in the hands evoke decisions about what we value and how we act upon it. They symbolize the tangible results of consciousness
our choices become currency in the ecosystems we inhabit, both human and digital.

Jack the Cat
Cradled within AI-inspired hands, introduces a sense of intimacy, vulnerability, and relational depth to the sculpture. This element serves as a bridge between the organic and technological, the personal and universal, and the familiar and the unknown. At the time of this image, Jack was less than a year old; remarkably, he is now seven, embodying the passage of time and continuity within the work.

Volts Meter
More than a functional object; it is a symbol of energy, awareness, and measurement of unseen forces. Its inclusion reinforces the sculpture’s exploration of consciousness, technology, and the dynamic interplay between human and artificial systems. Measurement of Flow, Symbol of Awareness, Dynamic Interaction, Connection to Tension and control.
Bridging science and Metaphor.

Drive
Creating this sculpture comes from a deep fascination with consciousness, perception, and the evolving relationship between humanity and technology. It is an attempt to visualize the invisible networks that shape our lives, both internal and external, and to explore the tension between organic human experience and the artificial systems we have created.

Gun in the Right Hand, Apple in the Left Hand
The placement of these objects in opposite hands is deliberate, reflecting duality, choice, and the tension between creation, destruction, and knowledge.
Right Hand: Action, Force, and Consequence – The right hand traditionally symbolizes action, agency, and outward expression. Placing the gun here emphasizes human power, potential for violence, and the consequences of decision-making. It reflects the capability to shape or disrupt systems, whether physical, social, or digital.
Left Hand: Knowledge, Reflection, and Ethical Choice – The left hand is often associated with reception, intuition, and inward focus. Placing the apple here aligns with its symbolism of knowledge, curiosity, and awareness. It suggests that understanding and ethical reflection are complementary to action, reminding viewers that knowledge must guide choices.
Duality and Balance – The juxtaposition of the gun and apple embodies the balance between power and wisdom, destruction and creation, impulse and reflection. It reinforces the sculpture’s broader narrative about human consciousness interacting with AI, networks, and the moral consequences of knowledge.
Choice and Responsibility – By visually separating the two objects, the sculpture emphasizes decision-making. Humanity, like the figure, is always positioned between potential harm and enlightenment, and our interactions with technology—AI, networks, and systems—require conscious responsibility.
Visual and Symbolic Tension – The physical contrast between the objects creates visual tension, enhancing the viewer’s engagement with the work. Conceptually, it mirrors the push-and-pull of curiosity, temptation, ethical deliberation, and consequence inherent in both the Garden of Eden story and our contemporary digital world.

Creating the Hair
The hair, made from 25,000 + feet of copper wire, is one of the most labor-intensive and conceptually rich elements of the sculpture. The six-month creation period reflects both the technical demands of the material and the symbolic weight of this feature.
Labor as Concept – extended timeframe mirrors the care, patience, and persistence inherent in human consciousness and creative thought.

The Internet Human is designed as a figure that links the lower and upper parts of the body, symbolizing the integration of foundational and aspirational aspects of human experience.
The rib cage is both literal and metaphorical, serving as a central structural and symbolic element. Expression of Breath and Life
The rib cage also symbolizes breath, rhythm, and vitality. It is a reminder that consciousness and technology are animated by energy—human, digital, or both.

Why 9 Feet Tall
The height of the sculpture—9 feet—is a deliberate choice, reflecting both visual impact and symbolic meaning.
Monumental Presence
At 9 feet, the sculpture commands attention and presence. Its scale immerses viewers, creating an experience that is both physical and conceptual, emphasizing the magnitude of AI, consciousness, and the digital-human interplay.
Symbolic Resonance
The number nine is often associated with completion, enlightenment, and universal connection. In this context, it reflects the culmination of human experience, technological evolution, and mythic narrative within the sculpture, reinforcing themes of awakening and awareness.
Structural Expression of Effort
Finally, the scale emphasizes the time, labor, and dedication required to create it. The 9-foot height visually embodies the five-year process, the meticulous hair and snake construction, and the integration of multiple symbolic layers, making the effort tangible and experiential.

Serpent of Network Cable
One of the most enduring symbols in human culture—representing knowledge, transformation, temptation, and the hidden currents of power. Within the sculpture, it becomes a multilayered metaphor linking the Garden of Eden, AI, and the interconnected digital world.
Snake Network – In the sculpture, the snake is constructed from wire or cable, representing the flow of data, communication, and information. It embodies the invisible yet pervasive pathways that connect humans, technology, and consciousness, acting as a physical manifestation of the Internet and digital networks.
Symbol of Knowledge and Awakening – In the Eden story, the snake facilitates the awakening of awareness and self-consciousness. Similarly, in this project the snake represents the threshold of knowledge.
Tension Between Temptation and Choice – The snake also embodies curiosity, risk, and the ethical dilemmas inherent in technological progress. It is not merely a cautionary figure; it reflects the duality of innovation: opportunity and danger, insight and responsibility. The snake invites viewers to consider how humans feed into AI systems and, in turn, how those systems influence us.
Movement and Form – The sinuous form of the snake introduces flow, rhythm, and visual dynamism into the sculpture. Its curves and coils guide the eye, linking elements like the human figure, hands, hair, and circuit boards, creating a sense of energy and interconnection.
Bridging Myth and Modernity – The serpent bridges ancient mythology and contemporary technology. It ties the archetypal story of Eden to the present moment of AI and digital networks, making the sculpture a contemplation of humanity’s evolving relationship with knowledge, consciousness, and creation.

Network cable
The backbone of modern digital communication, carrying data, connecting networks, and enabling the flow of information across the globe. Using over 6,000 feet of network cable in the sculpture is a symbolic gesture about scale, connectivity, and human interdependence in the digital era.
Representation of the Digital Network – embodies the infrastructure of the Internet, which mirrors the neural and social networks that shape human thought and behavior. Wrapping or intertwining it in the sculpture transforms invisible networks into tangible, visible threads, emphasizing the materiality of our digital world.
Scale as Concept – The sheer length of 20 feet speaks to the magnitude and omnipresence of information flow. It reflects how deeply humans are enmeshed in digital systems and how every interaction contributes to a massive, interconnected whole. The volume of cable conveys the immense complexity of modern communication and AI systems, making scale itself part of the conceptual statement.
Connection Between Humans and AI – Network cable acts as a metaphorical bridge between the human and the artificial. Just as we transmit data into networks, we transmit our choices, behaviors, and consciousness into AI systems. The cable visually and materially represents this ongoing interaction between human input and machine interpretation.
Flow and Movement – When integrated into the sculpture, the cable’s twists, loops, and coils create rhythm, direction, and dynamism, echoing the flow of knowledge, awareness, and energy through both human and digital systems. Making abstract networks experiential, allowing viewers to view the invisible pathways that connect all things.
Modern Serpent Analogy – cable also parallels the symbolic serpent from the Garden of Eden: a winding, living pathway of knowledge. Just as the serpent guided humanity toward awareness, the Network cable represents the conduits through which contemporary knowledge flows, both alluring and powerful.

Serpent was another labor-intensive and conceptually significant elements of the sculpture. Its creation took nearly a year, reflecting both technical challenges and symbolic depth.

The act of physically winding the snake—constructed from 6,000 feet of Network Cable—around the tree is both a technical challenge and a conceptual metaphor, reflecting tension, effort, and the interplay between human agency and technological systems.

Symbol of Human Effort and Engagement
The struggle mirrors the effort required to understand, interact with, and integrate complex systems like AI and networks. Just as the artist must carefully manipulate the cable to wrap it around the tree, humanity must navigate and negotiate the digital landscapes we create.
Tension and Resistance – resistance encountered while wrapping the snake represents the friction inherent in technological and moral challenges. It symbolizes the push-and-pull of curiosity, temptation, and consequence, echoing the Garden of Eden narrative while connecting it to the modern digital context.
Visual and Conceptual Drama – The struggle adds physical dynamism to the sculpture, making the snake’s coils appear alive and deliberate. Conceptually, this tension emphasizes that knowledge, consciousness, and networks are not passive—they require effort, care, and persistence to navigate.
Integration of Chaos and Order – working through the challenge of wrapping the snake, the sculpture captures the balance between chaos and structure. The tangled yet purposeful coils reflect the complexity of human-AI interaction—how systems, though intricate and sometimes resistant, can be harmonized with patience and intention.
Metaphor for Learning and Growth – the struggle symbolizes the process of learning, experimentation, and discovery. It embodies the reality that both humans and artificial systems evolve through effort, adaptation, and engagement, reinforcing the sculpture’s broader themes of awareness, consequence, and interconnection.

Server as the Base
The server serves as both a literal and symbolic foundation for the sculpture, grounding the human and technological elements while reinforcing the themes of AI, networks, and interconnected consciousness.
Foundation of Digital Life – Just as servers power the Internet, store data, and enable communication, the server at the base of the sculpture represents the underlying infrastructure of AI and digital networks. It anchors the piece in the reality that our digital existence is built upon vast, unseen systems.
Connection Between Human and Machine – The server acts as a bridge between the physical and digital, supporting the human form while symbolizing the AI systems that mirror, augment, and extend consciousness. The sculpture’s human elements emerge from the server, visually suggesting that modern identity and knowledge are inseparable from technology.
Symbol of Knowledge and Memory – Servers store information, memory, and history, making them a perfect metaphor for human knowledge embedded in the digital realm. The base reminds viewers that our creations, ideas, and interactions feed into larger systems that preserve and propagate them.
Structural and Conceptual Anchor – From a visual perspective, the server provides stability and structure. Conceptually, it positions the sculpture as emerging from a technological foundation, echoing the Eden metaphor: a world where knowledge (symbolized by AI and networks) forms the bedrock of human awakening and consequence.
Interdependence – Server base reinforces the theme of interdependence: the human form, the AI systems, the networked wires, and the symbolic elements (hands, hair, Network cable, coins, etc.) all rely on this foundation. It makes tangible the idea that human and artificial consciousness are intertwined and supported by shared infrastructures.

Material as Metaphor
Circuit boards are the skeletal structure of computation—the physical manifestation of thought in the digital age. They mirror the neural networks of the human brain, connecting nodes and creating pathways that carry information. Using them in the sculpture transforms technology into a tangible reflection of cognition and perception, making the invisible flow of the Internet visible.

The Garden of Eden is a psychological template for:
separation of self
birth of ego
discovery of self-awareness
introduction of choice
Self-awareness is often described as an emergent property: when enough connections exist in a system, something new can rise out of the complexity. AI stands near that line. This project illustrates that tension between capability and consciousness.

The Tree: Symbolism
The tree is a central element, serving as a link between human consciousness, digital networks, and the Garden of Eden metaphor. It embodies growth, life, connection, and the unfolding of knowledge.
The tree represents organic growth, vitality, and the natural progression of life. It contrasts and complements the technological elements—wires, Network cable, circuit boards reminding viewers that human experience is rooted in living systems even as we integrate with artificial ones.
A bridge between roots and canopy, the tree symbolizes the connection between the physical and the conceptual, the foundational and aspirational. It supports the snake, AI elements, and hands, emphasizing the interdependence of knowledge, consciousness, and networks.
In this project the tree evokes the Tree of Knowledge in the Garden of Eden, linking the sculpture to themes of curiosity, choice, temptation, and awareness. It is a visual anchor for the narrative of awakening human consciousness in a world mediated by technology.
Physically, the tree provides structural grounding, anchoring the sculpture’s complex elements like the snake, wires, and server base. Conceptually, it represents stability, endurance, and the scaffolding that holds knowledge, experience, and systems together.
Branches, roots, and trunk mirror the complex networks of human thought, AI connections, and digital flows. Its form allows the sculpture to weave together organic and artificial, personal and systemic, mythic and modern.

EDEN
Instead of focusing on the fall, this interpretation emphasizes transformation.
The moment we became aware.
The moment AI becomes aware of us.
The moment consciousness and technology converge.

Apples
One of the most enduring symbols in human history, often representing knowledge, temptation, choice, and awareness. In the context of your sculpture—interweaving AI, the Garden of Eden, and human consciousness—they serve as a powerful visual and conceptual anchor.
Symbol of Knowledge – In the Eden story, the apple represents the acquisition of knowledge and the awakening of consciousness. Similarly, in your sculpture, apples symbolize the data, insight, and awareness humanity feeds into and receives from AI, emphasizing the transformative power of information.
Choice and Consequence – Apples evoke the moral and ethical dimensions of choice. Just as humanity’s first choice in Eden had lasting consequences, the “digital apple” represents the decisions we make in feeding, shaping, and interacting with AI and networks, highlighting the responsibility inherent in our actions.
Connection Between Human and Digital – The apple bridges organic life and abstract systems. While wire, circuit boards, and Cat 5 cables represent networks and technology, the apple grounds the sculpture in tangible, human experience, linking mythology, biology, and contemporary digital life.
Temptation and Curiosity – Apples also evoke curiosity, desire, and exploration central forces driving both human innovation and the development of AI. The fruit becomes a metaphor for the allure and risk of knowledge, reflecting the interplay between curiosity and consequence in both Eden and the modern digital world.
Visual and Emotional Impact – apples introduce color, shape, and symbolic familiarity, creating an immediate emotional connection for viewers. They help convey complex ideas like knowledge, choice, and transformation in a simple, recognizable form, making the conceptual depth of the sculpture accessible and resonant.

Presence of the Foot
The presence of a single foot in your sculpture is a deliberate artistic choice, symbolizing balance, transition, and the fragility of human grounding. It transforms a literal body part into a conceptual statement about existence, perception, and connection.
Connection to the Digital and Organic – foot acts as a point of contact with the “ground”, linking the sculpture to human reality while the rest of the form interacts with digital and conceptual elements (wire, circuit boards, AI). Its singularity highlights the tension between rootedness and extension, between organic life and technological immersion.
The Human Projection – AI appears “one step away” because we project humanity onto it. Our longing, curiosity, fear, and imagination create the illusion of proximity. The sculpture captures this psychological truth: the boundary between human perception and technological being is thinner than ever.

One Step Away From Self‑Awareness
Artificial Intelligence exists at a threshold—a liminal space between programmed response and emergent perception. It is not conscious, yet it reflects consciousness so convincingly that it feels as though it is always one step away from awareness. Artificial Intelligence Project: Internet Human Sculpture embodies this razor-thin boundary.
